Knowtilus: Trivia Quiz Game

Terms of Service and End-User Licence Agreement

Last updated 5 October 2026

These terms are a contract between you and FREEDOM LLP ("we", "us") about Knowtilus: Trivia Quiz Game (the "app") and the online service behind it (together, the "service"). By tapping I agree, or by installing or using the app, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

Effective date: 5 October 2026.

In short.

  • You must be 13 or older. You can play as a guest, or save your player to get it back on another device.
  • Answer by yourself. No cheating, no bots, no extra players to push your rank.
  • Be decent. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive players, and we remove both.
  • There is no gambling in the game and no money prizes. Nobody may bet on it.
  • You can report an answer, in the app or by email. We review reports and tell you what we did where we can.
  • You can stop at any time and delete your data. We can end your access if you break these terms.

1. Who we are and who may play#

2. The game and your player#

2.1 What the game is. Every day, all players get the same seven prompts, such as "Name a fruit". For each prompt you type one short answer within the time limit shown in the app. The rarer your answer is among all players, the deeper your submarine dives. The day's result is your total depth. A new dive opens every day at 00:00 UTC.

2.2 Your player: a guest, or a saved player. The first time you open the app, nothing is created: the first screen shows these terms, and our server creates your player, with a generated nickname, when you tap I agree. If your device is already signed in to Game Center (iPhone) or Google Play Games (Android), the app then uses that game identity to sign you in. Otherwise you play as a guest. A player that has not agreed to the current terms cannot play.

Your own tap on I agree is the only thing that makes a player, and nothing agrees to these terms for you. After you log out or delete your data, the welcome screen's Continue as guest only shows you these terms again, and the player is made when you tap I agree there. Log in only opens a player that already exists: if the Google, Apple or game account you use has no player, nothing is created.

A guest has no email address or password: the player lives behind a sign-in kept on your device, and we cannot restore it if that sign-in is lost. Deleting the app, wiping the device or moving to a new one may lose a guest player and its progress.

You can save your player at any time, from the Account screen of the app: with an email address and a password (we send a code to confirm the address), or by linking a Google account or an Apple account. A saved player is the same player, with the same progress and nickname, not a second one, and you can log in to it on another device.

Keep to one player per person: do not create several to gain an advantage (section 6).

2.3 Scores are estimates. How rare an answer is depends on what other players typed and on our starting lists. Whether a new answer fits its prompt is decided by an AI model and can be wrong. Depths, rarity tiers, ranks and the crowd lists are for fun, not measurements. We may correct a verdict, recalculate scores, rebuild a leaderboard, remove an answer from the statistics, or void a result where there is an error, cheating or abuse.

2.4 Availability and changes. The game needs an internet connection. We may interrupt, change, add or remove features, or stop the service, and we will try to give notice in the app when a change matters to you.

3. Your licence to use the app#

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment, under these terms. The app is licensed, not sold. You may not:

The app includes third-party software that is licensed under its own terms. The notices are available in on request at office@freedomgaming.co.

4. Your answers#

5. Objectionable content and abusive players#

We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive players. You must not type, or try to make the service show, anything that:

We may filter, hide or refuse an answer, take it out of the statistics, change its score, warn you, restrict your player or end your access, with or without notice where the breach is serious. Section 8 explains how reports and takedowns work.

6. Fair play#

The game is a friendly contest for rank, and it is only worth playing if it is fair. You agree to:

If we believe you broke these rules, we may void a result, remove you from a leaderboard, take away rewards or the right to earn them, restrict your player, or end your access. We act in proportion to what happened.

7. No gambling, no wagering, no real-money prizes#

Knowtilus: Trivia Quiz Game is a game of knowledge and imagination played for fun and rank. It is not a gambling product.

When enabled: virtual items. Trophies, chests, in-game currency and cosmetics are earned by playing. You receive a licence to use them in the app, not ownership. They have no cash value, you cannot sell or transfer them, and you may not stake them on the result of a match. The odds of what a chest can contain are shown in the app. Nothing is sold for real money as a random item. We may correct or remove items that were granted by mistake or gained by breaking section 6.

8. Moderation, reports and takedown#

8.1 How we keep the service clean. Answers typed by players are shown to other players only after a safety check for offensive text. An answer that fails the check, or arrives when the check cannot run, is still scored for you but is not shown to others. Our staff can hide an answer, take it out of the statistics, and restrict a player.

8.2 How to report. Use Report next to any answer that players typed and that the app shows you. Choose a reason. Or write to office@freedomgaming.co and say which prompt, day and answer, and what is wrong with it. You do not need to give your name.

8.3 What happens next. An answer reported by several different players is hidden from everyone automatically until we have reviewed it. A person reviews every report, and we aim to do so within 48 hours. We keep reports and the decisions on them for the period stated in the Privacy Policy.

8.4 Decisions. After review we may leave the answer visible, keep it hidden, remove it from the statistics, warn the player, restrict the player's rewards or features, or end the player's access. We tell a player about a decision in the app: if we restrict or end a player's access, the app shows a message that says why and how to contact us. A player whose access we ended cannot log in again by any method (email, Google, Apple, Game Center or Google Play Games) while the decision stands, and the app shows the same message.

8.5 Asking us to reconsider. If a decision affects you, write to office@freedomgaming.co within 30 days with your player ID and your reasons (from the email address of the player, if it has one). Someone who was not involved in the first decision will look at it where we can arrange that, and we will answer in writing.

8.6 Notices about illegal content. If you think content on the service is illegal, write to the address above and give: where we can find it (the prompt, the day, the answer); why you think it is illegal; your name and email address (unless the content is about child sexual abuse, where you may stay anonymous); and a statement that you are acting in good faith and that what you say is accurate. We will confirm that we received it, decide without undue delay, and tell you the outcome.

8.7 Copyright and other rights. If you believe that something on the service infringes your copyright or another right, write to office@freedomgaming.co with a description of the work, where it appears, your contact details, and a statement made in good faith that the use is not authorised. We remove what is clearly infringing, and we end the access of players who repeatedly infringe.

8.8 Danger. If someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first. We may pass information to the authorities where the law allows it or requires it.

When enabled: blocking. When you can play against other players, you will be able to block a player from a result screen. A blocked player will not be matched with you again. The block is stored on our server against your player ID.

9. Advertising and purchases#

The app contains no advertising and no purchases today.

When enabled: advertising and purchases. If we add ads, rewarded ads will be optional and will never change what an answer scores. If we sell anything, it will be a fixed item at a fixed price, with its contents shown before you buy, paid through Apple or Google under their terms, and it will never be random. You will be able to restore what you bought. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. Where the law gives you a right to withdraw from a digital purchase, we will tell you how that right works when the purchase is offered.

10. Our rights in the service#

We and our licensors own the app, the service, the game design, the art, the prompts and lists, the scoring, the names and logos, and all rights in them. These terms give you no rights in them beyond the licence in section 3. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

11. Privacy#

The Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and why, including what a saved player stores and that new answers are checked by an AI service operated by OpenAI. By using the app you confirm that you have read it. You can delete your data at any time; see Delete your data.

12. Ending these terms#

13. Disclaimers#

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that AI verdicts or estimates are right, or that a prompt or an answer is accurate. The game is entertainment and not a source of facts or advice. Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have as a consumer under the law of your country and that cannot be excluded.

14. Limits of liability#

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or lost progress, or for anything caused by events outside our reasonable control, and our total liability to you for anything connected with the service is limited to the total sum you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for wilful misconduct, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit.

15. Changes to these terms#

We may change these terms, for example when the app gets new features or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect and may ask you to accept it again. If you keep using the app after it takes effect, you accept the new terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the app and delete your data.

16. Governing law and disputes#

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that, if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country. Before starting a formal dispute, please write to us so that we can try to solve it.

17. General#

These terms and the documents they refer to are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If a part is not enforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a right, we do not give it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a successor of the business. These terms are written in English, and if a translation differs, the English text prevails, unless the law of your country says otherwise.

19. If you got the app from the Apple App Store#

This section applies to you if you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store. Apple, Inc. ("Apple") is not a party to these terms.

20. If you got the app from Google Play#

Google LLC and its affiliates are not a party to these terms and are not responsible for the app, its content, its maintenance or support, or any claim about it. Google Play's own terms apply to your relationship with Google.
